The Klim Carlsbad is a great all-round solution for ADV riders thinking the Badlands Pro might be a little too much. In 2020 the Carlsbad has undergone a redesign, introducing new color schemes, improved ventilation, impact protection and fit. The Carlsbad is aimed at ADV touring riders, who tend to be more on the ADV side than on the touring side. The Carlsbad is intended to be used for off road riding but makes for a comfortable ride as well when touring. The Gore-Tex Performance material guarantees to keep you dry and together with the 630D CORDURA® twisted yarn overlays fabric in abrasion zones, makes for a very durable outer shell. You will find D3O CE Level 2 hip and knee armor for impact protection and large air intake and exhaust zippers on the thighs to promote ventilation.
The moisture-wicking antimicrobial polygiene® anti-odor liner is reinforced with Cordura at the inside of the knee and cuff for wear resistance. Off course, the Carlsbad is ready to be zipped to a Klim jacket for integral protection and improved comfort. Add your own base and mid layers to turn the Carlsbad into a pair of cold weather riding pants.
